At the General Assembly held on June 13, 2025, in Wrocław (Poland), Dr. Steffen Haack (Bosch Rexroth, Germany) was elected the new President of CETOP, the European Fluid Power Committee.
He succeeds Arjan Coppens, whom we sincerely thank for his dedicated and forward-looking work over the past three years.
CETOP would also like to express its gratitude to the outgoing CETOP Vice President Nik Watson (SMC UK) for his commitment and efforts during the last three-year term of office.
Along with the election of the new president, the new Executive Board was also confirmed:

In addition to the elections, the event offered a diverse supporting program:
• Working group meetings with current status reports on ongoing projects
• Visit to the Industry Skills Center (ISC). The Industry Skills Center in the field of industrial automation was established in the workshop building of the Aviation Scientific Works at Kiełczowska Street (BCU). Six modernly equipped laboratories have been created there, where classes will be conducted by professionally trained staff:
- electronics and assembly laboratory,
- modern control systems laboratory,
- automation laboratory,
- automation and robotics laboratory,
- intralogistics laboratory,
- Industry 4.0 laboratory.
The ISC offers practice-oriented training and has state-of-the-art equipment and laboratories that provide students with valuable insights into future-oriented technologies.
During the visit, participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with various training facilities and engage with current topics in automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, and sustainable energy solutions. The ISC’s close cooperation with industrial partners ensures that the content taught is always up-to-date and meets the demands of the labor market. The visit not only offered an exciting glimpse into modern training concepts but also an opportunity for professional exchange with teachers and students on site.
CETOP looks forward to a promising future for the European fluid power industry with its new Executive Board.
