„The economic impact of Putin’s war on Europe – How should EU policy react?”
Putin's war against Ukraine has rattled Europe, first and foremost because of the human tragedy in Ukraine, but also economically and politically.
The European Union's first reaction against the Russian aggression was strong and united. But the economic and political consequences of the war and the related geopolitical alterations are still uncertain.
How should the EU react politically? Do we need "Eurobonds" to cushion the economic effects and share the burden in Europe? How can we reduce dependencies in Europe? What does it mean for EU trade policy? These and more questions we would like to discuss at our VDMA reception at the Hannover Messe.
