The 12th International Fluid Power Conference will take place as a virtual conference

In view of the planning uncertainties for participants and organisers, the organising team has decided to hold the 12th International Fluid Power Conference (IFK) from 12-14.10.2020 as a digital event.
The current uncertainty is reflected in the survey that the organizers from the Chair of Fluid-Mechatronic Systems Engineering at the TU Dresden recently conducted among the participants* and speakers* at the 12th IFK. According to this, only half of the responding persons are willing to travel to Dresden for the 12th IFK at this time. For the other half, health concerns, as well as corporate and government travel restrictions, are factors of uncertainty for attendance at an event.
In contrast, about 75% of respondents are willing to attend a digital event or, under the given circumstances, almost 60% consider a virtual event to be the equivalent or preferred format. The organizers from the Chair of Fluid-Mechatronic Systems Engineering at the TU Dresden, together with the Fluid Power Association of the VDMA, have taken this as an opportunity to push for certainty about the IFK's hosting and have made the decision to hold the IFK as a digital event this year.

We are convinced that this decision is the right one in the current situation and look forward to October with excitement and anticipation. At the moment we are working with partners on an event platform that will meet the wishes and requirements of the IFK. Innovative online concepts are being developed that will promote an individual, intensive and topic-specific exchange and in this respect promise to provide an even more discussion-friendly platform. Your active participation in discussions will be made possible and is expressly desired.
Attractive participation models are currently being developed. One thing is certain: ticket prices will be halved for you compared to the attendance event. Benefit from an easily accessible and exciting IFK with low participation fees and no travel expenses!
Information on how to handle tickets already booked as well as tips for speakers will be compiled and passed on to you promptly.
