On 1 and 2 June 2017, this year's CETOP General Assembly and the related Commissions' meetings took place in Barcelona, Spain, hosted by the Spanish CETOP member AIFTOP.
The Commissions are concerned with technics, marketing, economic and education issues. The Technics Commission for instance dealt with some EU Directives and regulations having an impact on fluid power: PED Directive, Ecodesign Directive, REACH and CLP, ROHS. (continue reading...)

On application of the British Fluid Power Association BFPA, the National Fluid Power Centre NFPC in Worksop, UK, is again awarded CETOP Education Centre. NFPC has recently been re-certified for both Mobile Hydraulics and Industrial Hydraulics, levels 1, 2 and 3. NFPC is also certified for Pneumatics, levels 1, 2 and 3..

Industrial Automation and MDA merge to form Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives (IAMD)
As of next year, Deutsche Messe, the organizer of HANNOVER MESSE, will merge the event’s annual Industrial Automation (IA) fair with the biennial Motion, Drive & Automation (MDA). The new, combined flagship tradeshow will be called Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives (IAMD) and will feature the full range of industrial automation, transmission and fluid power solutions.

On 16 March 2017, the Polish Corporation of Hydraulics and Pneumatics Drives and Controls elected a new board. Krzysztof Kedzia became Vice President of the Cooperation and will be the main contact person for CETOP. Krzysztof Kedzia succeeds Dr. Henryk Chrostowski who unfortunately passed away in January 2017.
