The Fluid Power Association in the VDMA with its Fluid Seals Working Group is organizing the 21st ISC together with the Institute for Machine Elements at the University of Stuttgart on October 12 and 13, 2022.
New challenges for sealing technology
Most industrial products cannot do without a seal. Seals have proven their worth for many years and continue to represent the state of the art today. Due to the increasing demand for energy-efficient, ecological and economical products and technology trends, such as Industry 4.0 or electromobility, sealing technology is facing new challenges.
Through a mix of proven, modern and innovative solutions, sealing technology makes a decisive contribution to the development of state-of-the-art products. The event is therefore themed "Sealing Technology - Old School and Cutting Edge".
Attendees of the 21st ISC can expect exciting contributions on the topics:
- Static seals
- Shaft seals
- Translational seals (hydraulics/pneumatics)
- Fundamentals of sealing technology
- Mechanical seals
- Materials and surfaces
- Energy saving/friction/wear
- Standardization/patenting/legal requirements/testing procedures and
- Application Topics
